Just over 50 years ago， the Chinese Communist Party had voiced their interest in the democratic systems of the British and American governments. They also made their point of view clear to the public via newspapers and leaflets， which had been well documented. The Chinese Communist Party promised that they would enact a democracy in China if they were in power and would rid of the "One Belief， One Party and One Leader" ideology. A Chinese scholar， Xiaoshu， made a collection of the promises made by the then Communist Party and complied into a book. This was meant to be a symbolization that the Chinese people and history would not forget the promises made to them. How wrong were they? However， the current Communist party is stirring up these memories as they attempt to walk the democratic path， are they trying to fulfill their long-lost promises?
